Dr. Alex Chung is a highly respected leader in Hong Kong’s technology and digital transformation ecosystem, with over three decades of experience spanning enterprise transformation, ICT strategy, innovation leadership, and cross-sector collaboration
Beyond his corporate background, Dr. Chung is widely recognised for his industry leadership and public contribution. He currently serves as President of the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), where he actively drives industry dialogue and execution around AI strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, smart city development, and responsible technology adoption. His work consistently bridges policy, industry, and real-world implementation, helping organisations move from vision to execution
Dr. Chung also plays a key role in shaping talent and governance frameworks. He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University, and serves on multiple advisory committees, including the Digital Transformation Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). This unique positioning allows him to connect enterprises, NGOs, academia, and government, ensuring technology adoption is both scalable and human-centric
For AIX Society, Dr. Chung’s appointment is a strategic milestone rather than a ceremonial title.
As Honorary President, he will support AIX in:
- Strengthening our credibility and thought leadership in AI and digital transformation
- Expanding collaboration across enterprises, NGOs, academia, and policymakers
- Promoting responsible, practical, and sustainable AI adoption
- Nurturing next-generation digital and AI leaders in Hong Kong and Asia
His vision aligns strongly with AIX’s mission — to turn AI from a technical discussion into an organisational capability and long-term strategy.
We are deeply grateful to have Dr. Alex Chung join AIX Society. This marks an important new chapter as we continue building an ecosystem where AI creates real impact for organisations and society.
