  • Embracing the Future: AIX Society Applauds Hong Kong’s 2026 Budget and Pledges to Co-create a New AI Era

Hong Kong AI Budget 2026:HONG KONG, February 25, 2026 – The AIX Society (The Artificial Intelligence Application Research Society) warmly welcomes the 2026-27 Budget Speech delivered today by the Financial Secretary. We are thrilled to see the government charting a clear and ambitious path for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Hong Kong with unprecedented determination and resources. This budget not only establishes AI as the core engine for Hong Kong’s future growth but also injects powerful momentum into pioneers like us who are deeply committed to the AI field.

Hong Kong AI Budget 2026: Key Initiatives Announced

The series of initiatives announced—including the establishment of the “AI+ and Industry Development Strategy Committee” led by the Financial Secretary, a HK$50 million allocation for “AI for All” training, and a HK$100 million investment to accelerate the government’s digital transformation—constructs a comprehensive AI ecosystem spanning top-level design, talent cultivation, and practical application. This vision aligns perfectly with the principles that AIX Society has long championed.

AIX Society’s AI Training: One Step Ahead

In fact, a full year before the government’s “AI for All” initiative was announced, AIX Society had already foreseen the urgent market demand for AI talent. We proactively designed and launched a series of AI courses of varying depths, aimed at equipping professionals across all sectors with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This has built a valuable talent reserve for Hong Kong’s burgeoning AI industry. The government’s latest funding will undoubtedly accelerate this process, and we are eager to share our successful experience and collaborate closely with the government and other partners to maximize the impact of these funds for the benefit of all citizens and businesses in Hong Kong.

DingTalk Partnership: Delivering AI for All

Furthermore, we firmly believe that leveraging mature enterprise platforms is the most effective way to accelerate AI adoption and talent development at scale. To this end, AIX Society has entered into a deep strategic partnership with Alibaba DingTalk. Through DingTalk—the most well-developed and widely adopted AI-powered office automation platform available today—we plan to deliver a comprehensive suite of AI training courses for Hong Kong learners at all levels, from foundational to advanced and enterprise application tracks. Because DingTalk deeply integrates AI capabilities into everyday workflows, learners can apply what they learn immediately in real working environments, dramatically enhancing the practical impact of training. This initiative directly answers the government’s call for “AI for All” while providing businesses across Hong Kong with a concrete, actionable pathway for digital and intelligent transformation.

AIX Society’s Commitment to Hong Kong’s AI Future

The 2026 Budget opens a historic new chapter for AI development in Hong Kong. As a leader in the local AI community, AIX Society is committed to leveraging our strengths to fully support and participate in the government’s AI initiatives. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with the “AI+ and Industry Development Strategy Committee” and all sectors of society to transform the grand vision of the budget into a powerful force for economic transformation and enhanced international competitiveness.

The golden age of AI in Hong Kong is dawning. Let us seize this opportunity and work together to build a smarter future, powered by AI.
