💡 How to Leverage AI for Personal and Career Development – CRDS Workshop at School of Graduate Studies, Lingnan University

It was a real pleasure to share insights with the postgraduate students and alumni from the Master of China and Regional Development Studies (CRDS) programme at Lingnan University last Saturday.

Our workshop, titled “How to Leverage AI for Personal and Career Development,” focused on how AI can become a partner in lifelong learning, self-improvement, and career planning — not merely a tool for automation.

We explored how today’s professionals can use AI to:

Enhance critical thinking and creativity by collaborating with generative AI;

Build personal knowledge systems using AI assistants to organize research, notes, and reflections;

Improve communication, presentation, and language skills through AI-powered learning tools;

And design a career roadmap that adapts to rapid technological change.


Rather than fearing replacement, we discussed how to redefine our professional value by learning how to work alongside AI. The session ended with a lively discussion about how AI literacy will soon be as essential as digital literacy — shaping not only our employability but our personal growth and confidence.
